HOW DOES BULK BEEF WORK?
Step #1 - Place Your Deposit
Pick your bulk beef share size (mini, eighth, quarter, half or whole) and place your deposit. Placing a deposit tells us to hold that amount of beef specifically for you.
After you place your deposit, you’re guaranteed a share from our spring
harvest! You’ll receive an email confirmation automatically, but then
within a week we’ll also personally email you to give you a little bit
more details about what you can expect going forward.
While you wait for your processing date, we will give you real-time updates about the progress of your order.
Step #2 - Pay your remaining balance and schedule your beef's shipping date.
On your scheduled date, the cattle will be brought to our local processor, where the expert butchers will begin processing your beef (this usually takes 2-3 weeks). On that date, we’ll also email you an invoice to collect your share’s remaining balance.
Once your beef is ready (3-4 weeks after your selected processing date) we’ll reach out to schedule your beef’s shipping date.
Step #3 - Your beef is delivered & you enjoy!We will ship your beef to your door and you’ll enjoy a freezer full of nutrient dense, delicious beef!
HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY BULK BEEF?
Deposits are paid for at the time of reserving your beef share. When
your processing date arrives, we’ll email you an invoice with your remaining balance.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHIP BULK BEEF?
As you can imagine, shipping heavy, frozen beef is not cheap. But for right now, we’re covering the shipping fees completely on all bulk beef shares.

ARE YOUR CATTLE ANTIBIOTIC AND ADDED HORMONE FREE?
We seek to be caring stewards of our animals and we believe in doing things as naturally as possible. We do this by using no added hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. In very rare and critical situations, our cattle may be given antibiotics, but that is only if that animals health and wellbeing is at risk.
WHAT ABOUT THE mRNA VACCINE?
We have not and will not be administering this to our cattle at any point.

WHAT IF MY ORDER ISN'T COMPLETELY FROZEN?
No worries! If your order arrives partially thawed but still cold to the touch, then it’s safe to place in your refrigerator or freezer. Our vacuum-seal technology limits any exposure to oxygen, which means your meat can be stored without risk of freezer burn or spoilage, even after it has thawed during delivery.

Temperature-Controlled Shipping:
All orders are shipped using temperature-controlled packaging to ensure your beef remains frozen from our freezer to yours.
Packaging Materials: We use eco-friendly, insulated packaging with dry ice or gel packs to maintain the optimal temperature during transit.

Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been shipped.

Our standard shipping time is 2-3 days.

Standard Shipping: We offer flat-rate shipping for all orders. The rate will be calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.

Delivery Instructions:
Please provide any necessary delivery instructions at checkout to ensure a smooth delivery process. If you will not be home to receive your package, consider providing an alternative location that is safe and temperature-controlled.
HOW DOES THE MEAT STAY COLD DURING SHIPPING?
We pack your box with 10 pounds of dry ice and the highest grade recyclable insulation to keep it
cold during transit. If your package arrives with dry ice remaining inside, please do not touch it with bare hands. We recommend you leave it in the Mule Creek Ranch box with good ventilation to allow the dry ice to evaporate. Always handle dry ice with care!
*TIP: Use tongs or work gloves to grab the ice safely. Then put a piece in a bowl of warm water to have some fun!
IS IT OKAY THAT MY ORDER ARRIVED WITHOUT DRY ICE?
Dry ice will evaporate into a gas during the delivery process, which is why your box may arrive without any dry ice left. Dry ice does not turn to water, however, and shouldn’t make the box wet.
DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME TO ACCEPT DELIVERY?
No, your box will be left at your door. It will be packed with plenty of dry ice, but we recommend opening it and putting your beef in the freezer as soon as possible.
CAN I PICK MY DELIVERY DAY?
We always reach out to schedule a shipping date that works best for you before we ship your beef share.
CAN I TRACK MY SHIPMENT?
You can track your package via FEDEX.com through the tracking number we send when your order ships.
You will also receive you shipping and delivery email updates.
WHAT STATES DO YOU SHIP TO?
We ship throughout the continental U.S. to all states. We are unable to ship to Alaska and Hawaii.
WHAT IS YOU RETURN POLICY?
Returns & Refunds:
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or not as described, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with photographic evidence.
